Freestyle Skateparks design and build professional skateparks for the public and private sector.

The main material and construction method that we use is in-situ formed, float finish concrete.

Other construction materials that we offer include timber and steel.  The use of timber and steel for outdoor skateparks is less common. However, we have a large portfolio which includes the use of such materials.

Our passion and something that we take pride in, is designing and building skateparks that end users and our clients will be proud of for years to come.  We strive to achieve this by: providing a design service that sees close involvement with the local users; in-house expertise; a history of skating; passion; client care and communication; exceptional construction skills and a commitment to the end result.

Skateparks are ‘design and build’ projects and fall into the sports and the construction industry.  Therefore expertise in construction alone, in our view, is not enough.  Skatepark builders need ingrained knowledge of the intended sports, to be able to create facilities that will be respected, well used and fit for their intended purpose.  Providing a facility for skating and its related sports requires a higher than usual knowledge and expertise within the field in comparison to other sports.  Every inch of a skatepark relates to the adjacent inch and must be considered.

Freestyle can either take a project from initial brief through to site completion or be involved with a project at requested stages.  Taking a project through from initial brief through to site completion would include: User/ client design meetings; site visits; liaison with other contractors/ sub contractors/ utilities companies involved with the project; production of visualisations and plans for public and planning consultation; engineering and construction drawings; construction of skatepark; handover of site and assistance with public opening days.

Where a project requires another contractor to carry out particular stages, Freestyle offer a consultancy service where assistance with a project at the planning, design or build stage can be provided.

Freestyle are able to provide skateparks within varied site parameters or restrictions and, through our large portfolio of acclaimed skateparks, have proved that we value design and build quality regardless of budget, site or size.
